For the process water, which is needed on the plant by different machines and for the cleaning of the same, an own process water treatment plant was established. The biologically treated wastewater is purified by a sand filter and a downstream UV system in such a way that it is bacteriologically pure and can be used for the above-mentioned purposes. This saves about 145,000m³ of precious drinking water per year.
